The Game
In this league there are 6 players on a team. 1 quarterback, 1 runningback, 2 wide receivers,
1 tight end, and 1 center. For lining up you must have 3 players on the line of scrimmage and 3 off. The 3 off are your mobile
players, which you can send in motion and run options with. All plays that follow this code are acceptable. There are 5 penalties
a player can commit. The first one is offsides. This one is very simple. Its a player who jumps over the ball before the ball
is snapped. PENALTY=5 yards. The second one is pass interference. This is when a player pushes or hits another player while
the ball is in the air to prevent them from catching it. The ball must be proven catchable. PENALTY=10 yards(auto first
down) The thrid one is holding. This is when a player grabs a hold of another players clothing. PENALTY=5 yards The
fourth one is delay of game. This one is when the quarterback lets the playclock run out. PENALTY=5 yards The fifth one is
unecessary roughness. This is when a player uses a body part (elbow knee etc) not normally used to tackle, hit, or block to
attempt to brutally harm someone. A late hit on the quarterback or any other player also falls in this category. PENALTY=15
yards (auto first down)
Players can be traded, but only before the season starts. Once the first week begins, trading
is no longer allowed until the season is over.
There is a draft every 2 seasons. We so far have had 2 sucessful drafts. During a draft
the team with the worst record in all overall seasons will get the first pick. And so on down the line. Teams are limited
to one of every position and 2 wide recievers. So dont forget to check out everything and vote on who you think will be the
2005 Backyard Bowl Champions!
